Hey there! I am Pietro Bongini, a researcher from Italy. I received my Ph.D. degree in Smart Computing from the University of Florence in 2022, with a thesis titled “Graph Neural Networks for Molecular Data”, where I mainly worked on Graph Neural Networks and their applications to bioinformatics. I obtained my Master Degree with Honors in Computer and Automation Engineering from the University of Siena, with a thesis on “Glycine-induced formation and druggability evaluation of protein surface pockets: A machine learning approach”. Currently, I am a Post Doctoral Student/Researcher in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Pisa. The main topic of my research is Deep Learning on Structured Data, with a focus on Graph Generation and its applications in Bioinformatics.
My Projects
This small website is about my personal projects. It is intended as a collection of experiences and projects on many topics. You will see Artificial Intelligence here and there, but it is not the central topic here. Most projects have been developed in my free time and/or during my studies in IT Engineering. I am a very curious person and I have quite a few hobbies and interests, which often provide me intriguing problems to solve. The path to the solution is not always succesful, yet it always leads to interesting insights and to nice little achievements. The goal of this site to share these insights with everyone that might be interested.
